We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with a strong focus on end-to-end (E2E) testing, either using Java-based testing frameworks or Cypress. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and executing E2E test automation solutions in fast-paced agile environments. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of mission-critical applications, working closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to deliver high-quality software products.

In This Role You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of E2E automated test scripts using Java-based frameworks (e.g. TestNG, JUnit) or Cypress.
• Design and develop infrastructure testing including load, performance and stress tests and integration in our release cycle.
• Prioritize data-driven risk reduction. Focus testing around known bottlenecks and critical paths: ingestion pipelines, query latency, network and storage performance.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and test strategies for automated and manual testing.
• Drive test automation efforts across the product lifecycle, ensuring robust test coverage and continuous integration (CI) pipeline integration.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements, ensuring thorough testing of features and functionalities.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs or performance issues using tools like JIRA.
• Collaborate on evolving testing frameworks that you will adopt, as well as the test suites to ensure the prioritization of our organizations needs and requested features
• Optimize and maintain existing test automation frameworks, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA and testing, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve testing processes.

As a Sales Engineer, you are the technical counterpart in every customer conversation: you connect customer problems to our platform capabilities, and you translate technical value into business impact. You will work closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Marketing and Engineering to help organizations understand, evaluate and adopt Ververica.

In This Role You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Discover: run technical discovery to identify customer pain points, current-state architecture and desired outcomes.
• Design: craft tailored streaming architectures and solutions that map Ververica's platform to the customer's data landscape.
• Demonstrate: deliver product demos and lead proofs of concept that prove real, measurable value.
• Win: provide the technical validation that supports the deal and earns customer trust, from first call through to close.
• Own the technical narrative in RFPs, security and architecture reviews, and executive briefings.
• Act as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering, feeding field insight back into the roadmap.
• Build reusable demo assets, reference architectures and enablement material that scale beyond a single deal.
• Partner with Customer Success to ensure a clean handover and a successful path to production.
• Represent Ververica in the Apache Flink community and at industry events, meetups and webinars.
• Stay current on the streaming, data and AI landscape, and apply that knowledge to sharpen how we position the platform.
